What customers say?

“ $24 happy hour large miso ramen and gyoza set. Order before 5 pm. Radish slices, meaty savory miso (like for mabo tofu) and shiso (perilla leaf) garnish the ramen . Very tasty . Gyoza is typical ”

“ We got the ramen with side combo during their happy hour (cheaper combo). Their miso ramen came with a niku soboro/ground pork in a tomato based sauce which overpowered the miso broth and made it saltier. The ground pork on rice side dish they had was good but the mayo was too salty. The gyoza was really good though - no complaints there. ”

“ Ramen noodles were amazing. Broth was perfect. Only issue of mine as personal preference, is the ajitama is hard boiled and doesn't have that rich flavor I was expecting. All in all I would justify the $10-$20 price tag on meals here. Priced more than your typically "fast food" ramen shop, but definitely worth the price. Got myself the chashu ramen and I will be coming back to sample the miso ramen next. ”

- Brian Araki -

“ Excellent flavors for both the mazemen and the chamayo-don. I am often disappointed by ramen in Hawaii, but this place was great. The only thing that I would improve is the aji-tama. It lacked flavor and was a little dry. Overall, I would come here again to try the more traditional styles of ramen. ”

“ You will get the most flavorful broth here. Shoyu is clean, and consistent soy broth, and the miso is creamy and has more depth flavor. The noodles are perfectly chewy. I think this is the best Japanese ramen place here in Wakiki. Get egg on the side, you don’t regret it. I was not a fan of gyoza as a appetizer. ”

“ Definitely one of the better ramen I had recently. I tried the shio and my wife tried the shoyu. The shio ramen's broth is lighter in taste than the shoyu. I would definitely recommend the shio in conjunction with the garlic paste sauce. In fact, I would say the garlic sauce added another dimension to the ramen , making it memorable. The boiled egg has room for improvement, I prefer running yolk over the chalky yolk. ”

“ why is there a charge the kitchen 4% on the bill when it's not on the menu? That's why I deducted 1 star for the hidden fee, which should be clearly stated on the menu. I was really surprised with the taste of the broth, I usually eat the creamy broth (Tonkotsu). First time trying shio broth, really surprised with the taste of this broth. I missed out the taste of the shio broth because I probably just ate tonkotsu ramen. The broth has just the right amount of salt, very tasty and rich, seasoned just right, nothing to complain about. Pork char siu has a different taste from other restaurants, maybe it has an its own flavor, the char siu meat was a bit dry, but still chewable, the cha-mayo don is sweet, delicious. ”

“ Wow! So glad that I tried this place by chance. (2/3 ramen challenge). Initially, had planned to try the competitor directly across. (Also, hesitancy was from the discount of promotional bowls, 50% off.) Miso ramen was sold out so I tried the shoyu ramen, Regular size but wished I would have gotten the large...cuz it was awesome. The broth was amazing, had depth and great flavors...before adding the orange slice juice. Adding tad of the juice gave it an additional hint of uniqueness. The ramen was fresh made at the restaurant (confirmed it was made in the morning). The owner/chef, said that the broth was cooked and simmered for 48hrs! Just opened 2 weeks prior to the date I tried this bowl (5.19.23). Once people discover and try this place, won't be surprised if there would be a long wait. 5*! Would definitely recommend and return! ”
